Fantastic sound, makes 5.1 come alive. Wish I had bought it years ago. Best album I have ever owned for clarity, direction of sound and crispness of presentation. DVD sound has so much more depth and real sound quality to it, like a live concert in my house. MANNHEIM STEAMROLLER at there best!!!!

I didn’t love every track on this DVDA, but there were more than enough to please me. The real treat is the hidef surround mix, which varied in approach from song to song. Some used the surrounds for ambiance while others had discrete instrument placement so you were sitting right in the middle. I only wish Chip Davis would give the same treatment to all the Fresh Aire series. Since most of those albums clocked in under 40 minutes, you could probably put them all on about three or four DVDAs as a box set. There’s an idea. Great work though.
I do not own this product yet but I will soon. While it is true that about 98% of DVDs are used for movies there is the DVD audio standard. The main reason for this review is to define DVD. So DVD stands for (D)igital (V)ersitile (D)isc, not Digital Video Disc. I shall update this reivew when I purchase this DVD a little later

This DVD was the biggest disappointment. When I think of a DVD I think of videos! But all you see is a picture of the cover and the name of the song down in the corner. Hardly my idea of a video. Mannheim Steamroller makes such wonderful Christmas music, I love them. I got so excited when I saw this DVD, I thought of their first VHS video “A Fresh Aire Christmas” that was Great just to short! If you have the CD don’t bother buying it like I did, what a waste of money!

We just attended a live concert of Mannheim Steamroller performing “Celebration”. It was wonderful, and we hoped to relive the memory through a DVD. This should be listed as a CD, because it is not a video of their concert. Very misleading!
